Why bad thoughts make you less creative

The immediate silent judgment of the efforts of others does zero to help the person you’re judging but it does great harm yourself.

When you allow your default reaction to be a negative one, you begin, over time, to think that everyone else does that to you as well.

This is dangerous because you become nervous to put your work out there. You’re sure everyone will be as cynical as you’ve become and you have less peace in the creative process because you never know when the boogieman that lives in your head will be unleashed on your work.

Subliminal criticism of others does nothing to help them but is actively detrimental to you.

Simple thoughts, genuine intentions, better results.
