People will betray what they really think about you

If you could know what everyone genuinely thought of you, would you want that?

If you can bear to hear the difficult things or willingly be baptized by fire, you can pick out interesting things hidden in plain sight that can help you shape up areas in your life that could make you better, faster, stronger, and easier to deal with.

Watch for the subtle facial reactions, the small reminders and throw away comments that people say to you. You know you’re getting the real truth when it’s a high-pressure situation.

I try to ignore my ego in these moments and focus on what I could do in the future to ensure that this concern or critique doesn’t have to arise again.

In this way, we can use moment-to-moment feedback to constantly improve how we work with people around us.
