I avoid specifics, and most of my first 300 blog posts have been very abstract and general. That also means they’re very forgettable. My post on May 13th, 2019, was written about what? I don’t know. I can’t remember.
I think I’ve avoided the specifics and concrete things that lead to my different conclusions because it’s easier to talk about an outcome than how you got there. If you talk about how you got there, people can call you out on your poppycock.
I don’t want to get called out. So I’m shooting myself in the foot by writing as boringly as humanly possible? I guess so.
Icarus wasn’t to fly too high for fear of his wings melting, but should my writing be like a low-flying Icarus that is swallowed by the sea and forgotten altogether?
It’s time to fly high and stop worrying about sharing details.
